Generalization of bibliographic coupling and co-citation using the node split network

چکیده

Bibliographic coupling (BC) and co-citation (CC) are the two most common citation-based measures of similarity between scientific items. One can interpret these as second-neighbor relations distinguished by direction citation: BC is a citing items, whereas CC that cited A previous study proposed two-layer node split network emulate clusters in computationally efficient manner; however, lack intralayer links makes it impossible to obtain exact similarities. Here, we propose novel methods estimate on using personalized PageRank (PPR) neural embedding (EMB). We demonstrate PPR strongly correlated with measures. Moreover, our method yield precise similarities items even if they distant from each other. also show many high missing original BC/CC network, which suggests essential consider long-range Comparative experiments global local edge sampling suggest stable for networks. This analysis offers valuable insights into process searching significantly related regarding measure.

An author co-citation and bibliographic coupling analysis

This study continues a long history of author co-citation analysis (and, more recently, author bibliographic coupling analysis) of the intellectual structure of information science (IS) into the time period of 2006-2010. It finds that Web technologies continue to drive developments, especially for the research front, although perhaps more indirectly than before. A broadening of perspectives is ...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Co-citation analysis, bibliographic coupling, and direct citation: Which citation approach represents the research front most accurately?

In the past several years studies have started to appear comparing the accuracies of various science mapping approaches. These studies primarily compare the cluster solutions resulting from different similarity approaches, and give varying results. In this study, we compare the accuracies of cluster solutions of a large corpus of 2,153,769 recent articles from the biomedical literature (2004-20...

Co-Authorship and Bibliographic Coupling Network Effects on Citations

This paper analyzes the effects of the co-authorship and bibliographic coupling networks on the citations received by scientific articles. It expands prior research that limited its focus on the position of co-authors and incorporates the effects of the use of knowledge sources within articles: references. By creating a network on the basis of shared references, we propose a way to understand w...

Paper recommendation using citation proximity in bibliographic coupling

Research paper recommendation has been a hot research area for the last few decades. Thus far, numerous different paper recommendation approaches have been proposed. Some of these include methods based on metadata, content similarity, collaborative filtering, and citation analysis, among others. Citation analysis methods include bibliographic coupling and co-citation analysis. Much research has...
